I have not been doing to many projects, were about to go on a little vacation so I have been taking it easy. I got this coffee table for $15 and couldn't pass up redoing it for the living room!
And here she is now. I love her! She is exactly what I was going for, I would love a round coffee table one day but for now she works great. I wanted a dark wood top, and a distressed rustic white bottom. I did a few coats of stain on the top, and painted the bottom white, then went over it with stain and distressed! Super easy, I made sure to do a top coat to protect it sense it will be used a lot! Heres a few more pictures:
It looks great! I'm working on a coffee table re-do too...great(crafty) minds think alike! I just finished painting my kitchen table and chairs. I tried staining the table top but it just didn't work out so I painted it instead. Did you sand your coffee table before staining it?
ReplyDeleteThankyou! Haha yes they do! I saw your table it looks great! I sanded the top like crazy sense I was staining it, I wish it would have taken a little better but I was happy with it. I don't think its real wood, Im not really sure its pretty solid and heavy but it stained a lot different than most things I've done.
ReplyDeleteI love the stain color you used. What color is it?
